ILA is a design collaboration between brother and sister Vikas and Ila Sodhani. The eponymous collection was launched in 2007 and quickly grew its presence internationally. The designers trace their roots in jewelry, back to their ancestral homeland in the northern deserts of India. Their homeland is a place enchanted by history, mysticism and beauty and is where the edifices of their family lineage, called a Haveli, still stand today. The walls of the Havelis were carved with the most skilled hand to tell stories of mythology of the land. It is these stories and their trips back to India that continue to inspire their collections.
